About Us

Get To Know Us

Matthew Hendry is from Milwaukee, WI but was raised in San Diego, CA. He is a licensed minister with FMC - Fellowship of Ministers and Churches at Christ for the Nations. Matthew is a recent graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX with a bachelor of practical ministry in the evangelism major. He also holds a certificate in Grant Proposal Writing from Fort Hays State University. 


He has over 20 years of experience in outreach ministry and evangelism learning under evangelists as Scott Hinkle, Nicky Cruz, and Greg Laurie. He has also worked on staff at the Los Angeles Dream Center with Pastors Matthew and Tommy Barnett for seven years as a site leader in the adopt a block ministry and the homeless ministry director for Under the Bridge Ministry. Matthew is currently planted and serving at River of Life Church in Missoula, MT. He ministers at the Missoula County Jail and partners with the Union Gospel Mission Missoula in chapel services. He also holds a full time position as outreach coordinator with PATH outreach helping individuals transition out of homelessness. 


Matthew loves baseball and is a big Dodger fan. He likes Mexican food, hanging out with his beautiful wife Kendra. Matthew met his wife while they both were serving at the L.A. Dream Center as missionaries. 


Matthew is passionate about sharing the Gospel,  helping broken people become whole again. He loves serving the homeless and those that have been forgotten in society. He has helped thousands of broken lives turn their lives around for Jesus Christ.  


Kendra is from Red Deer, Alberta.She  graduated from Word of Life Bible College in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. Kendra served as a missionary in an orphanage in Jamaica before she moved to Los Angeles to serve at the Dream Center. In 2009 she came down on a short term mission trip to the Dream Center. She fell in love with the homeless ministry. Two years later she decided to move down and become a missionary intern. She has worked in the home for victims of human trafficking at the Dream Center. She has also served in the short term missions office helping with administrative tasks.


Kendra and Matthew were married in June of 2012. Kendra has a passion for children in the foster car system and her desire is to see broken families and children become whole again. She is currently employed at the Union Gospel Mission as assistant director for the women & chuiildr's home and Salvation Army as a case worker.   


She enjoys good food, and spending time with her family. 

What We Do

We exist to reach the homeless, hurting and vulnerable with the Gospel and to equip the church in outreach by coming alongside pastors, church leaders, missionaries, and believers to empower them to proclaim the Gospel at every available venue given to them. 

Hope Outreach Project is under the covering of The Fellowship Network, Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International. 

Current Initiatives:

  • Planted at River of Life serving in First Responders Ministry, Street Teams, and Food Bank. 
  • Jail Ministry - Serving and ministering weekly Bible Studies in partnership with Chain Breaker Ministry and River of Life in Missoula Jail. 
  • Homeless Outreach in partnership with UGM and River of Life Church.
  •  Internet Evangelism 
  • "Increase Your Impact Weekend" Providing a weekend of outeach & training at local churches to impart a heart for reaching the lost, hurting and broken with the Gospel. 
  • Short-Term Mission Trips - to various locations in the U.S and around the globe to impart a heart within the Body of Christ to reach others with the Gospel. 
  • Intercessory Prayer Gatherings - weekly prayer for revival & unity within the Body of Christ, outreaches, churches, pastors, leaders in our community and around the globe. 
  • "My Hope" Billy Graham Outreach Project at various locations around the city. 

Long-Term Vision 

  • School of Hope Recovery Home - a Christ-centered Discipleship home for those suffering from homelessness & substance abuse that provides a path of recovery out of homelessness into housing and job training services with GED and other forms of training.
  • Hope School of Evangelism - one summer month of classroom training, teaching, & practical outreach that imparts a heart to serve and reach others with the Gospel with a graduation certificate and possible college credit.  
  • EQUIP Conference - a nation-wide conference on evangelism & outreach training during the fall months to equip and impart a heart to reach others with the Gospel. 
  • International Pastors Conference to equip, support and enourage international pastors, missionaries, and leaders serving on the field. 
  • Adopt A Block Outreach - a coordinated city-wide effort to serve, build relationships, and meet the needs of our neighbors in our city. 
  • Community Outreach Center - providing a day center for the homeless and hurting to hang out, enjoy free coffee & donuts, Bible studies, freedom classes, computer lab, interview prep and resume writing assistance, case management, evening movie nights, worship & prayer nights. 
  • A Safe haven of refuge for those involved in prostitution where they can come for help, prayer and to experience love and acceptance. 
  •  Mass Crusade Evangelism - evangelistic crusades to reach large audiences with the Gosplel.
