Get To Know Us

Matthew Hendry is from Milwaukee, WI but was raised in San Diego, CA. He is a licensed minister with FMC Fellowship of Ministers and Churches at Christ for the Nations. Matthew is a recent graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX with a bachelor of practical ministry in the evangelism major. He also holds a certificate in Grant Proposal Writing from Fort Hays State University. 

He has over 20 years of experience in outreach ministry and evangelism learning under evangelists as Scott Hinkle, Nicky Cruz, and Greg Laurie. He has also worked on staff at the Los Angeles Dream Center with Pastors Matthew and Tommy Barnett for seven years as a site leader in the adopt a block ministry and the homeless ministry director for Under the Bridge Ministry. Matthew is currently planted and serving at River of Life Church in Missoula, MT. He ministers at the Missoula County Jail and partners with the Union Gospel Mission Missoula with chapel services. He also holds a full time position as outreach coordinator with PATH outreach helping individuals transition out of homelessness. 

Matthew loves baseball and is a big Dodger fan. He likes Mexican food, hanging out with his beautiful wife Kendra. Matthew met his wife while they both were serving at the L.A. Dream Center as missionaries. 

Matthew is passionate about sharing the Gospel,  helping broken people become whole again. He loves serving the homeless and those that have been forgotten in society. He has helped thousands of broken lives turn their lives around for Jesus Christ.  

Kendra is from Red Deer, Alberta.She  graduated from Word of Life Bible College in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. Kendra served as a missionary in an orphanage in Jamaica before she moved to Los Angeles to serve at the Dream Center. In 2009 she came down on a short term mission trip to the Dream Center. She fell in love with the homeless ministry. Two years later she decided to move down and become a missionary intern. She has worked in the home for victims of human trafficking at the Dream Center. She has also served in the short term missions office helping with administrative tasks.

Kendra and Matthew were married in June of 2012. Kendra has a passion for children in the foster car system and her desire is to see broken families and children become whole again. She is currently employed at the Union Gospel Mission as assistant director for the women and childen's home and Salvation Army as a case worker.   

She enjoys good food, and spending time with her family. 

What We Do

We exist to reach the homeless and hurting with the Gospel and to impart a vision in the church for evangelism. 

We do this by equipping the saints for the work of ministry and empowering them to proclaim the Gospel at every available  venue given to them.
